FRIENDS OF ROXBOURNE PARK
For the community, By the community

Welcome!
Roxbourne Park is situated in the south west of the London Borough of Harrow, with a small part falling in the neighbouring borough of Hillingdon (but owned by Harrow). Bounded to the north by the Metropolitan Railway line between Rayners Lane and Eastcote, to the south west by Field End Road, and straddling the southern part of Cannon Lane, you may well have passed by and thought "I wonder what that place is like?" Well, these pages aim to give you an insight into the park itself, and some of the activities which happen here.
Friends of Roxbourne Park (FoRP) was initiated in 2015 and became a constituted community organisation in 2016, to help to ensure that this beautiful haven remains available for us and future generations to enjoy. We hope that you find something of interest to inspire you to visit us and join our ever increasing support group (currently numbering nearly 600 people). Please do contact us and join in the events, volunteer to help in some way, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk in beautiful surroundings in Roxbourne Park.
On a map of south-west Harrow, Roxbourne Park shows up as a large green area bounded by Cannon Lane, Castleton Road, Woodlands Avenue, Yeading Avenue, High Worple and in Hillingdon, Field End Road. Users come from a wider area, though, with Harrow and Wembley Society of Model Engineers running train rides on summer Sundays, dog walkers coming from far and wide, Pinnstars football and Pinner cricket club teams based there too! The aerial photo illustrates the variety of parkland there really is - woods, river, sports pitches, playground, nature reserve and lots and lots of trees!
HOW TO FIND US:There are several entrances to Roxbourne Park. The main entrance with car parking facility is on Cannon Lane in Pinner, Post Code HA5 1JF. Proceed up Cannon Lane from the traffic lights at the junction with Eastern Avenue and Village Way and follow the road for about 500 metres which ends in the small car park. Please note the closing times for the park and ensure your car is out before the barrier is closed. The other entrances are pedestrian entrances from Castleton Road (a lane between numbers 66 and 68) in Eastcote, Woodlands Avenue (adjacent to no 67) in Eastcote and Field End Road (opposite Whitby Road). The Field End Road entrance is occasionally opened to motor vehicles when the miniature railway is in operation but car park users should be aware that the gates can be locked at any time. It is recommended that you park outside the boundary and use the pedestrian access. Other pedestrian entrances are beside the Nursery/Scout Hut at the junction of High Worple and Trescoe Gardens in Rayners Lane which is near the childrens play area, and 2 discrete entrances into Roxbourne Rough, down steps from Cannon Lane before you reach Stirling Avenue and beside number 1 Stirling Avenue itself where the road turns to the left. Come and walk around on the paths or stroll on the grass - Roxbourne Park awaits you! Please get in touch - visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FriendsofRoxbournePark or email us on forp2016@forp2016.org or by using the Contact Us tab above.
